Right guys, I'm looking for a new great TV show to get into. I'm having Lost and True Blood withdrawals. While the new series of Dexter is great I have room for at least one more really good show to watch.
Any suggestions.....? What are your favourites. Any new ones I should check out? Or older ones I might have missed...... What's big over in the US at the moment....?
Lets here 'em.

Dude, do you watch Misfits? Awesome british drama about people with powers. If you are into Trueblood (Gotrik was the man!) you should be into Misfits.

Hey man, yeah I think I caught half an episode of the first series but wasn't too sure what what going on. Seemed a bit like skins on bad lsd trip.
Is it that good then? I'll check it out properly.

Yeah its good. My wife is even getting into it.
The camera work and sound tracks are really good with a decent story line.
Its a bit 'chavy' in some places but over all definately worth a watch.

Fringe isnice if you enjoyed The X-Files. Thw Walking Sead is also very good.
P.S. how 'bout no TV at all? I don't own one and I download a few shows from the internet. Saves a whole lot of time.

I started watching fringe at the beginning but never really got that into it. The walking dead sounds good though, will take a look at that.

LOVING the walking dead.
I as-well, can't wait till Sunday to see what happens.
Actually I had a dream last night about the walking dead and it scared the shit out of me. We were running as fast as we could as-well as trying to fight the dead off.

What's bones like? I've heard of it but can't remember what it is exactly. What shows is it most similar to?

It's a lot like CSI but it's based around the bones of dead people to solve cases. It has a lot of it's own twists as well. Very good in my opinion

The Mentalist is pretty good too if you are into crime drama's
Personally I hate CSI and the way everything so conveniently comes together.
Seen Bones a few times. They guy that played Angel in Buffy the Vampre Slayer is in it. Its good but we have never really got into it.

Yeah I tried to watch CSI once and couldn't believe how bad it was.
I watched a bit of the mentalist and it was ok but a bit lightweight.
I really prefer something with a little bit of edge to it.

Yeah loved trueblood. That's one of the reasons I started this thread, to fill the gap true blood has left in my life!
I think it might be the dexter finale today too! Dammit.

How awesome was the finale to The Walking Dead!? Word on the street is that it's been renewed for a 13 part second season.

First season was only 6 episodes. That was the finale I'm afraid. New season next year.

Wow, a six episode season... sounds kinda lame.

Fawlty Towers had only 2 seasons with 6 episodes each and it changed the world of sitcoms.
Anyway, the season finale was great.

Yeah a 6 episode series is standard for UK programs.
It's unusual for US program but I think it's because it was a new concept on a network that doesn't do a lot of that sort of thing so they just wanted to give it a few episodes at first to see how it did.

Finished all of misfits and it was AWESOME, I'd recommend it to anyone. On a similar theme I've heard good things about No Ordinary Family. Anyone watched it?
