I remember when I had two jobs and worked for 16 hours daily (night + dayshift), and I was struggling to fall asleep too. All I could think of "I must sleep now or I won't make it.." and it's impossible to sleep when stressed out like that. The first thing You should do is: stop drinking too much coffee. You don't need to leave it completely because it helps to stay awake when one must, but stop drinking it at least five hours before bedtime. Get curtains to darken the room completely... and use ear plugs if it's too noisy when You must sleep during the day. Listen to some calming music like classic, with the volume turned down... so that it will stop at some point and You can sleep in silence. Hell, why am I explaining this here... click here

Well, I'm just fine now, really no need to get back to those things. I'll just put them all in one sentence: stressful job, long work days&stress, moved to a different city -> lonely and lost, sleeping problems, immune system down, depression (because of the poor sleep and other factors messed up my brain), greedy relatives, divorce, death of two close people, suicide of a very good friend, my sister and grandmother got seriously sick, and so on and on... a mad year it was. Now things are calming down and I'm more healthy, I sleep well now... things are looking better. Still a bit lost with my life and with what I want, but getting better that way too. The pathetic self pity period is over, and now I'm loading my batteries to get back to life. Thanks for Your concern.

Well, it was before the army when I was about 17-18 years old. Some heavy warehouse labour in two different companies. On top of the long days and poor sleep, it was physically challenging too.
