Help I'm being SPAMMED!!

Hi guys
Everytime I log onto CC i get about 20 emails from alias addresses selling viagra and some selling windows software. I don't know how this happened because I did not post my email address on the site. It seems like they got me by tracing my link to CC somehow. How can I stop them? I have to spend time sorting my email from relevant to spam and its a pain in the ass. Not to mention that my antivirus protection has blasted a few bugs in recent weeks, thank God. Any help is appreciated!

If You haven't typed Your email address to CC, then CC can't be the reason.

You don't need to type it in.

Single click on BIGOKE's name in this thread. (Or anyone for that matter).
Go to "Send e-mail to BIGOKE".
There's his e-mail address.

Try going to "User CP" in the upper left of the front page and go to "Edit Options" under the Setting & Options area.

Under the Messaging and Notification header, UN-check the Box next to "Receive Email from Other Members".

That should do it.
