Hey guys,

I was doing my PE a couple of hours ago and after a couple of minutes of stretching, I started doing my jelqs. However, during one of my reps, I think I might have been a little too eager and squeezed my penis a bit tighter than normal. I say this because immediately after that rep, I saw a dark red/purple spot beginning to form on my penis shaft . I was shocked and decided to stop my routine for the night and immediately got a warm towel and wrapped it around my penis. I think it is a burst capillary or something similar. It stings a little when you press hard on the area. But other than that, it's fine.

I do have some questions about this kind of injury:
- I know that this kind of injury is common, but how long before it goes away? (Have a date with my GF on the weekend:twisted:. And hoping to be ready if I get lucky)
- Is there anyway to speed up the healing process? I tried doing some slight massage on my shaft after the wrapping it in warm towel.
- During this time, do you guys recommend a complete rest from PE til the spot goes away or is it safe to do some stretching and kegels?
- Would it be okay to masturbate or do some edging while the spot is there or would it simply make it worse?
- Did I do the right thing? I mean do you recommend to ignore the spot and finish the routine or simply do what I did and stop right there and do the warm wrap/massage thing? (Just in case this thing happens again, hope not)

That's about it.

You did the right thing by stopping your routine. Any more PE will make the spot larger/darker. I would rest and do no PE (kegels are fine) until it heals. You should be fine with masturbating/sex.

Gideon,

I've also experienced red/purple spots before but they were really small and didn't sting. I think this one is different since I saw the spot forming while the small vessel bled out.

Today, it looks much better but it stings a bit sometimes. Do you think I should apply warm compress or cold compress first? I've read on the net that you should apply cold compress on an injury for the first 2-3 days (to keep the swelling and bleeding down) then use warm after. However I'm not really sure if this is applicable for my penis.

I'm not real'y sure I can answer that as I haven't experienced this as severe as you have,I just left it alone for a few days,I would probably do what you said cold first then warm, but id get some advice from some other guys first, good luck
