That Chirac idiot got what he deserved! London 2012... the way the olympics have been growing bigger and bigger every time, You will have something spectacular happening there in 2012! We had our Helsinki olympics in 1952, and that was the last one for sure... olympics are too big for a little city like Helsinki to handle these days. Congrats, London! :cool

Pretty amazing, isn't it? You Brits haven't had this much Olympic attention since "Eddie the Eagle".

Chirac is a complete joke and an obstacle to progress in the EU, the sooner he goes the better for all of us. I'm pretty indifferent towards the Olympic bid, just thought I'd chime in with some Chirac bashing. :P

By the way Bobo, what's your take on his comments about Finnish food? I can't say I know much about Finnish cuisine, could you fill me in?

I posted some info about finnish food in the miscellaneous discussions thread recently. His comments are really quite unbelievable... what I mean is he may really not have liked what our president has offered him, but to say something like that isn't suitable way to behave at his position. But, I don't blame him really... because that shit they feed to "important guests" is nowhere near traditional finnish food, I've seen the menus... they're trying to offer something too special. Offer him some finnish campfire sausage with mustard and some finnish beer and vodka, and he will be speechless.
