Hey all, new to PE, started on Monday, doing the every other day thing, takin it easy to start, bobo's comments have sunk in.

My question is based on the fact that I am more concerned with girth than length, and it "seems" as though dry jelqs would target that more than wet jelgs would. Is this true? Also, if wet jelqs are targeted at about 70%, what is a dry jelq targeted at?

Also, what's everyone's perception as to what 50% is?

Be best to do the basic beginners routine for a month, before targeting one bit.
Don't worry - you won't have a 10x5 in August.

I agree with Spike. Don't think about targeting anything yet, just do some basic jelqing and stretching for the first month to get the tissue ready for PE. After 1-2 months we can talk again about girth.

I thought dry jelqing could be part of a beginner's routine?

Spike, I don't think I want a 10 girth X 5 length penis, I'm pretty sure that would severly limit who I could have sex with =)

Also, look at the name, my hope is to add an 1 1/2 to girth and whatever to length in the next 2-3 years =) August what??

A beginner can do dry jelqs, but remember not to do them on top of the wets... reduce the amount of wet jelqs You do with the amount of dry jelqs You plan to do, to keep the total intensity low enough.

Yah I got that, you don't have to warn me about not going big, last thing in the world I wanna do is hurt THAT area...

But in terms of the other question, at what perecent erection should I be doing the dry jelqing? Same as the wet? And if 100% erection for someone would bring them completely parallel with the ground, would 70% be if they were at a 45 degree angle to the ground? Or more?

The worst that could happen is an injury, but overtraining can have negative effects without an injury too: no gains.

Those are difficult questions about the erection level, because it varies alot between people. A good rule is that the shaft shouldn't be hard, it should "give in" on the grip so that You can actually push the blood inside the shaft. It should feel soft without the grip, but with the "ok" grip the shaft should get hard while the grip is smaller than the erect girth of the shaft. Difficult to explain, please ask more if that didn't make sense.

No that makes sense.

Yesterday I tried wet jelqing at a greater percentage than usual, I was probably sitting at around 45 degree angle to the floor (normally I'm about parallel when 100%). Two things I found out: (1) I didn't have to squeeze hard at all to get a really good pump during the jelq; and (2) I could feel that sensation of pressure during the jelqing session. I was able to get through about 10-15 reps before having to do any kegels. Moreover, before going to bed, I had that slight sensation of being "worked out," which I hadn't felt before. Sort of like after getting out of the gym and you're muscles are just pumped and done...indication of a good workout?

I figure the closer you can get to an erection, while still providing some "give room" inside the chambers, the better?

That "slight sensation of being worked out" sounds good, it means You actually stretched the tissue with added pressure. With time You will learn what works best for You, just remember to have the picture in Your head about blood pressure expanding the volume of the blood chambers. It seems You're on the right track.

Well for the first week I've done a Mon-Wed-Fri schedule, took yesterday and am taking today off. Feels like some injected a little "fat" into my schlong, both at the flacid and erect states. Not too shabby... :D
