I always wondered about that also. I can't help but think, "I can't get a boner until tomorrow morning. I don't want to mess up what I did for the day."

I know it seems silly, but I just couldn't help but think that.

The point of a warmdown is to get more blood circulation to the tissue after PE'ing meaning faster healing, so an erection definately doesn't hurt either. When I PE'd, I always tried to get an hard erection after the session just to see everything's ok. If I couldn't get it hard, I knew the session was too straining. Erection after PE'ing is ok, if not even recommended.
