well, rather a bunch of un-related things.
(to the best of my knowledge).

SIGN
the "fu## off" sign of 2 fingers up originated from the british centuries ago when young boys would grow up being taught how to be a good archer- by the time they were men they were very accurate and deadly with heir bows and arrows.
as part of an army in battle they were capable of taking out lots of the enemy- when captured they had their archer fingers cut off. as a sign of defiance and stuff they would raise both fingers as to say "i still have my fingers and can still shoot arrows at you!" i think it was against the french first.

Well done ss. It begun during the Battle of Hastings when Willian the Conqueror killed his french cousin, Harold (he then built an abbey in Hastings to apologize for the death of Harold). Strange way to apologize.
