View Full Version : Look out LL Cool J! : G-Spot's Diary

So I have decided that i will use this site as a means to track my workout progress and my caloric intake and such. I mean why not? The boards are perfect for it, we got the bodybuilding info, and tons of helpfull support. So if you guys want, create a bodybuilding diary too!

First off, I am a small fucker at 6 foot and 163 pounds now. When i played Rugby I was about 165 and had great strength. I later got sick and lost down to 140 pounds soaking wet:shock: Up untill a bit less than 3 months ago, I only weighed 145 though I may have embarrassingly lied about my weight on here, I dunno if I did or not. But for my size, I have always been cut, just not big. I am about to change that. I made it up to 150 in about 1 and a half months or so and then hit up to 160 in a few weeks. I think the difference was I really started watching what I ate and shot for and met certain amount of calories each day. I took advice from Shawn LeBrunsbook and have recently implemented advice from Oldie. I am running low on time but will post workouts and stuff soon. My goal is to track my lifts and routines on here and on a notebook. My notebook for me and on here for the support that helped me throughout all these years of PE. Measurements will be posted up in detail tomorrow. I also plan to renew my tanning sessions and work on myy tan. I used to have a Latino look. I am starting to look albino

How much time are you spending on weight training per week?

G-Spot19
29th September 2008, 10:49 PM
My workouts are about 45 minutes a day Monday Wednesday and Friday. I do Cardio and ab work on my off days. Cardio has helped me to realize how pathetic my endurance has gotten. To much weed

I don't know why people bother smoking weed anymore. Smoking it not only fucks your lungs up, but it is a massive waste of weed. You need to VAPORIZE it.

It saves weed (and therefore $$$), gives you a cleaner, yet very powerful high, and is MUUUUUUCH healthier for you, since no weed is burned.

I invented a DIY method (would you expect any less from wern?). Want some links?

http://www.canorml.org/healthfacts/vaporizerstudy2.html

Thats some info about vaporizing

I'll paste some key info:

The vapors from the VolcanoŽ were found to consist overwhelmingly of THC, the major active component in weed, whereas the combusted smoke contained over 100 other chemicals, including several polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), carcinogenic toxins that are common in tobacco smoke. The respiratory hazards of weed and tobacco smoke are due to toxic byproducts of combustion, not the active ingredients in the plant, known as cannabinoids.

and:

The new study used a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer (GCMS) to examine the gas components of the vapor. .The analysis showed that the VolcanoŽ vapor was remarkably clean, consisting 95% of THC with traces of cannabinol (CBN), another cannabinoid. The remaining 5% consisted of small amounts of three other components: one suspected cannabinoid relative, one suspected PAH, and caryophyllene, a fragrant oil in wzneed and other plants. In contrast over 111 different components appeared in the gas of the combusted smoke, including a half dozen known PAHs. Non-cannabinoids accounted for as much as 88% of the total gas content of the smoke.

Here is my home made vaporizer:

Yes sir! I am excited about this new information and anothe weed smoking site to go along with "everybodydoesit"

On another note, I think I am going to slow down a lot on my weed smoking or vaporizing. I dunno why, I just feel like it. Maybe its got something to do with me working out. Oh well. I really need to get my shit on this site soon. Stats and workouts to come when I can recover my files from my messed up computers hard drive

wern

Yeah well, not having weed is obviously the best thing. But if you do plan on having it, I would suggest trying the homemade vaporizer ;), because its much healthier

Well, tell me how you go. I would put more in the saucepan than what I wrote on the weed forum. Probably a whole conepiece (or bowl, depending on what you call it), to get a hit). But even if you had to use more weed than you would in a joint, it still makes sense to vaporize, because of the massive difference it makes to your health

G-Spot19

Its weird. i bought a new bowl just the other day and have not used it yet. Usually I cant wait to consummate a relationship with a new pipe and pack it tight as I can. Maybe i will sell it when I do my vaporizer

Shit I am behind lol. So to update. I kicked my weed to the curb and threw away my newest bowl. Im proud of myself as its now been about three weeks since my last toke. I also bought the P90X workout from BeachBody and it is the most amazing thing I have ever used in my life. I am on my second week and have already seen reluts in muscle tone, balance, and core strength. This program focuses Plyometrics, Yoga, cardio, and strength training and so far has my highest endorsement. I have never felt physically stronger or more focused in my life. Anyone interested, check it out. Read the testimonials, watch the videos, read the full experiences of people from day one to 90 on the forums and i gaurantee you will not be dissapointed. Its killer!

That is a great workout system, I did it for a couple of weeks over the summer before I got a job and just switched to lifting. It kicked my ass in the most awesome of ways though.

G-Spot19

It is killer. I have been training for a while and used to do rugby practices from hell. After my first chest and back routine, I damn near threw my guts up. Then I still had ab ripper. My second week is just as intense, but I have adjusted better and upped my numbers on all exercises. I thought it was all hype and bull shit before i bought it, but i cant wait to get "x"ed!

The_Scientist
10th January 2009, 04:40 PM
Yeah, I figured I would try them and see what was up, because I managed to get them free. And apart from all of the people with their hand motions it was great. As far as vomitting, I feel you but I found that the experience of doing pushups while hoping I wouldn't soil my carpet to be edifying. Like walking through a motherfucking wall of fire. And, it fucking works, people swear by it, and have pictures to prove it.

Hmm, I might incorporate it into my workouts here, I stopped because I knew I wouldn't have time to do it in college, but I could probably integrate them know that I see how much time I have. :D

G, were you doing elevated pushups, clap pushups, or triple clap pushups before you got the bars? If so, does it give an advantage over these more advanced pushups, or just over the conventional ones?

Actually I got some tall standing dumbbells that I already use for pushups as well to get those deep pushups. I would check this link out --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm1Bo_QBZ_c This is a pushup and flys combined into one exercise and pretty killer. I work out at the gym all the time but do these when I'm at the house. I also suggest subscribing to that guy. He has some great exercises and workouts that he has created all from working out at his house. Check it owwwtttt!

I had to do pushups with my feet up in a chair and still did about 35 to 40 fairly easy. I actually did push ups at work with a 200 pound guys standing on my back, holding himself up by a table so he wouldnt fall. Did 5 of those. These bars upped the intensity of all my pushups because i had more range of motion and feel great on my wrists! The program has you doing all types of pushups. The two exercises that are killing my chest are diamond pushups and divebomber pushups. Love em though!

Sweetness...I'm thinking about trying the program out too to bring something new to the table and use some more muscle confusion...but I got a gym membership. I can still do the exercises at my gym right or you think this would only work for at home?...say if I watched the vids and wrote what to do, for how long I could write it down on a piece of paper and fully it in the gym quick like the videos since I workout late when the gym is mostly open to me.

The program comes with a book that outlines all the exercises and the routines. You can take it to the gym with you and do it there. No need to just do it at home. It also has a complete fitness and nutrition guide

hey man good luck!

coming from someone with 23 years weightlifting experience (started at 15 yrs old, 145 lbs, currently around 220)...i can truly relate to difficulty of gaining weight.

at one point, i was eating around 4-5000 calories a day, 300+ grams of protein, lifting weights 5 days a week (plus cardiovascular/mobility work on the weekends). I would work so hard in the gym that sometimes I would puke....then I would eat an extra meal to make up for lost calories...i was so dedicated that even now i cant remember ever missing a workout...

thats really the key...CONSISTENCY and DEDICATION and PROGRESSION. the funny thing is, now, I can maintain 213-215 at 8-11% bodyfat year round (visible six pack) without much effort. but the journey, getting to your goal is the hardest and you have to fight for every pound...

if you really want it, you will do what it takes to get to your goal...just remember that every day in the gym, by the time you are done, you should be able to say that you are better than yesterday....

sorry for the lecture lol but ive been in your shoes and i refuse to see a young guy let his potential dwindle away :mrgreen

G-Spot19
4th February 2009, 09:53 AM

The exercises have been great. The only thing is I have been out for about 4 days sick as hell. Maybe lost a few pounds. :(
It sucks to work so hard to get something and then lose it to illness. Just means I got to work harder to get back. I still am bigger than I ever have been at least. :cool

I wouldn't worry about that too much. Most likely it was water weight. When sick, your body has a natural "detoxifying" ability that it employs to get all the toxins and bacteria out of your body.

Even more importantly, after a period of caloric deficit or weight loss, your body has a remarkable ability to "rebound" anabolically. This is why many strength athletes (and myself in the past) will have phases of intense lifting, followed by a less intense period of weightlifting or "deload". During the deload, they lift less weight and use less volume, so when they start reintroducing the heavy weights again, their body is "shocked" into growing/getting stronger.

I remember one summer I visited my grandparents, for a vacation of 3 weeks (this was back when I was like a freshman in highschool). They were poor and I only got 3 small meals a day of rice and fish. Before leaving for the trip, I was about 145 lbs. When I got back, I was 130 lbs. I was honestly almost depressed that I lost 15 lbs :puke:. However, I managed to gain the 15 lbs back and more in the next month, all while smashing my previous strength limits!

Moral: Don't worry about temporary setbacks as the body has a good ability to recover. Focus on the big picture :mrgreen

PS - I am going to measure my dick sometime this weekend. I'll let you know how it turned out.

PepeLePew

How's it going with P90x G? Also, got a question for ya...how many days
a week does it say to do Ab Ripper X? I found a kid that was doing the
video on youtube with the actually Ab Ripper X video playing on his TV
in the background...I've been doing it every other day.

G-Spot19
20th March 2009, 08:53 AM
You do it on the day 1 day 3 and day 5 exercises. On 2 4 and 6 you do cardio type exercises or Yoga. The Yoga workout has its own ab section. Ab ripper X is a killer. If you can get through it after a full workout of your other muscles without taking a break or crying a little, you are more of a man then me

Wannabe_BIG
20th March 2009, 09:04 AM
Im not sure if this applies to you g-spot. But if you get sick often I would reduce the intensity, but not how often you train.

I personally believe that if we train to hard our immune system breaks down and makes us more receptive to disease.

I have now Idea if this fits you, but I feel there are a lot of people who are not aware of this in the pursuit of their goals.

G-Spot19
20th March 2009, 09:16 AM
Yeah i only got sick a couple times and i think it was because i was not drinking enough water and breathing right while working out. The program keeps telling you to go at your own pace and not to over do it. Crying however is still a re occurring thing

PepeLePew
20th March 2009, 05:21 PM

Sweet, thanks man. Yea I usually just do abs in my room before I hit the
gym for my other workout. Doing abs first I think is best, because if you
do them last in your workout you will not be working them as much and
they will be actually hard to work because prior when you were doing
say your chest workout or whatever you were using your core already for
most if not all those exercises. Ever since I started doing abs before my
real workout I've definately had more definition to them.

G-Spot19
21st March 2009, 09:48 AM
I may try that then. I know it gets hard to do all my ab exercises without a small breather.

PepeLePew
23rd March 2009, 10:19 PM
Yea man, definately. Doing abs first work them the most because that is
what you are primarily trying to workout. Doing the other exercises like
chest or any other body part for example you'll be using your core as well
as one of the secondary muscles work and fatigues them abit, which won't
allow you to workout your abs very well if you do them last. Most likely
you'll cheat too much doing ab reps, thus not performing them well.

G-Spot19
25th March 2009, 09:18 AM
Guilty. I have cheated them billions of times. Especially on Yoga day :neut:
