Like it says...
I love compound exercises and am currently a big fan of pull-ups and dead-lifts. I feel good after ive done them and often superset them so it feels my hole body has been worked out. I think squats are the only compound exercise i dont enjoy too much :?

Probably the pull-up. One-handed pushups are fun as well.

The kettlebell swing has got to be my favorite exercise. It's simple, perhaps even a bit bland, but it's the basis for so many other movements (virtually all hip-driven moves, and the hips should drive just about everything) that I really can't think of anything to top it. Plus it'll kick your ass if you do it correctly.

Worst exercise has to to be anything single joint, and worst in that category is probably the triceps kick-back. Nothing says "Meet me in the locker room for a blowjob" like a 200 pound douchebag screaming as he cranks out 25 reps with a 15 pound bell with this ridiculous exercise.

for me its got to be deadlifts. When I have done four sets of these my body knows I have done four sets, as in I feel I have really worked myself hard.
Also deadlifts use some really important muscles like your hamstrings and rear core (lower back). These muscles are important for all sports and make you feel alot stronger.
The only problem is that strength, size and definition are not as apparent to onlookers with these muscles, as say compared to someone with bulging pecs.

My favorite would be the dumbell press. I love it. My least favorite is by far weighted sit ups. I get no enjoyment from them at all. What keeps me doing them is the abs they give me

Weighted sit-ups is my favorite. I do my ab exercises last so it makes me feel that I have completed my workout well.
My hatest exercise would be the leg press, I get bored lifting weights with my leg while seated. My lowerbody is built pretty good so this I'm only doing this for maintenance. I just wish that most of my bulk are in my torso so I wouldn't work out so hard. hehe

I do also love weighed sit ups. I loooove them so much that right now I can't do them. Not because of injury, but plain an simple imbalance between legs and the rest of the body: I have the most beefy chicken wings in town...
I think I dislike any exercise that demands you to do it first with one arm and then with the other, for example the bent-over row. Not that I hate them, I hardly loathe any exercise.
Wait. Yeah, I think I hate cardio

Cardio can get BORING when done alone like in a treadmill or any other machine but best enjoyed with friends! Tomorrow is jogging and badminton day! :mrgreen

Squats are my all time favorite however due to my current injury are off the table. I do enjoy incline dumbell presses as well as dumbell shoulder presses. I really hate pull ups - at some point when I lose some weight and am able to perform them the correct way I may change my mind. Enjoy them no way no fucking way, respect them hell yeah.

Definitely squats are my favorite and least favorite all at once. In my hey-day when I played football I was squatting 455 to the floor, and over 600 on the box-squat which I think if pretty impressive for a guy my size. Squats are easily the most exhausting single exercise I know of though. During long 10-12 sets with 315, I felt like I was going to keel over mid set.
Aside from squats, my least favorite is bench press. I've got long monkey-esque arms, so bench is really awkward and difficult for me.

Deadlifts, just smashed my PB and got 190kg. I only weigh 70kg soaking wet, hahaha.

My advice is to do the ab exercises first, unless you are on a lower body work out day (especially if doing squats 1st). By doing the ab exercises first you will definately feel & get the greatest benefit out of your abdominals.
By doing them after everything else you won't get the same benefits and that true burn as you would by doing them first. By working out your abs last you have already previously used a lot of energy from your abs through your other workouts because your abs are your core which controls and helps most of your lifts. Ex. Bench press yes you are working mostly your chest and arms but your abs/core are working a lot to. And as you probably know the stronger your core the more you will be able to length then a weaker core.

My favorite and most hated exercises is definately walking dumbbell lunges. Works everything...you ass (glutes) will grow like no other with these and very quickly.
I don't come together after each step to stand straight up but am constantly lunging forward with each leg. Also stay on my toes the entire time...pretty tough to start out but great to create a great core & work on your balance. Lunge about 30 feet with heavy dumbbells then am forced to take atleast a 2-4 min break, then lunging back the 30 feet. Do this about 5-6 sets with going forth and back equaling 1 set.
2nd most hated, maybe most hated since I do like the lunges is squats...but they are great as well.

I like all power movements (squats, bench, deadlifts, etc.)
My least hated by far is lunges although I do them because I know how good they are for you.

Hey creeps...
'Favourite exercise' is somewhat relevant.
I would have to say my fav would be sex. Pounding the dirt out of something.
Aside from that.. grappling is a great exercise.
Punching and kicking a heavy bag. Very good/fun exercise.
For weight lifting.. Dead lifts are good... but I really like cables. I've always found cables to be the most effective form of weight lifting. Chest, shoudlers, back.. Works flexibility and more rounded strength. You can lif at odd angles that convential weights would be next to impossible to acomplish.
I just recently purchased one of these.

A Weider 'Platinum Cross-Bow'
It wasn't exactly what I wanted at first.. but I found it used for very, *very* cheap.
I know the 'bow-flex' type of machines get frowned upon from those serious into body building, but this machine is pretty cool.
It works somewhat like a BowFlex.. It has one resistance bar, which is connected to a series of pulleys. The pulleys are adjusted through the touch panel settings. Set it to a specific weight and a motor changes the geometry of the pulley system, thus adjusting the resistance.
10 - 300+ lbs.
As I said, I really like cables, especially for my chest. This thing is awesome for cable chest flies n'stuff.
I need to tweak the cables a bit to get more range of motion for some of the exercises.
I'm stoked. Looking forward to getting back in shape. It's been a while.

I hate machines but if that is what you need to get back into shape then go for it. Better to lift something than nothing at all.
And I agree we are all creeps

Shroom! been a few bro! hows it going?
I have been curious about that machine for a while. I thought it looked great on the infomercials. So how much would you recommend it?
