I was on my way home from my girl's house just a little bit ago and saw one of my friends driving. I pulled up beside her and she was crying, so I called her to see what was wrong. Anyway after following her to a parking lot so we could talk, she told me that she had in essence been raped.

What she told me was that she had a friend that she was trusting to take care of her while she was drinking. And he had been apparently trying to get her to sleep with him while she was sober and she was saying no, but when she was drunk he was trying to tell her that she wanted it and pulled her pants down and stuck it in her, while she was telling him no. She said she was trying to pull her pants back up and turn away from him but her just pushed her up against the sink.

She is blaming herself for what he did and won't accept that yes she shouldn't trust so easily, but once she said no it should have stopped there and any wrongdoing was his fault. How do I help her? She doesn't want to tell anyone else about it because she feels so ashamed...

Wow, well the right thing to do would be to get this guy. Call the cops, she's probably ashamed, but if he's done it once what's to say he won't do it again. In the end she'll be happy that you did that for her, although it'll be rough for her, and she'll be distant. Good luck.

No you shouldn't call the police, you should talk to her more and make sure she understands she has people around her to support her and that SHE should call the police, she wil be afraid, bu tell her you will be by her side the whole time, you will even go to the station with her. She needs support more than the police right now. This reminds me of another sad story that was on these forums a good while ago, i'm sure the guy who dealt with this problem will having something to add to this thread, since he feels so strongly about it.

I agree with Codzilla. The best you can do in this situation is to be a good friend and give her your support. If she feels ready to report it to the police, let her do it in her own time. Just be there for her as a good friend does.

Bro let me explain something, this girl will feel guilt, shame, and fear. A girl who is raped will crawl into a shell and you will be hard pressesd to do anything that can help her besides offer her support. ITs all you can do, in fact. Do not call the cops.
