Lets face it, the worlds exciting days are over.
Everything's a fashion statement, hip replaces the seedy, every city becomes the same.
But we have the internet, YAY...

Have you ever seen the movie Fight Club Valk? Or read the book? They may make you think differently about life and the things in life. At the very least they are both entertaining.

Without giving away too much of the plot the basic story is about a man who is so bored with his life he changes it radically with the help of a friend. These radical changes lead to a cult following (sorta) and major changes in society.
But I haven't seen the movie in a few years and I haven't read the book in a few years as well.

Fight Club always reminds me of myself when I was 19. I was renting a massive house that was falling to bits and it was the first time living away from home so I was free to do whatever I wanted. His girlfriend reminds me of the girl I was seeing at the time too.

Or a PE program that worked. Hey the internet kills revolutionary ideas everyday. Well maybe not the ideas, but definately any thoughts of following through with it.

Everyone should read it, though they shouldn't internalize the book though. Living this sort of thing in the real world would get you arrested.

you need to buy kat williams' pimp chronicles and watch the standup part

Though funny, Kat Williams "Pimp chronicles" doesn't quite reach the same philosophical depths that Fight Club did, for all its brutallity.

I tend to agree with the fashion statement, but not every city becomes the same Valkie. Go to Barcelona my friend, there I think you'll find some bohemian life, although maybe a bit harder to find nowadays than 30 years ago, but still there. Trust me.

I don't know how I skipped this the first time though...
Either way thats interesting. I always thought that how was such a great set piece, that house. It is a great movie.

I dunno, bohemian seems to mean "infested with self-conscious hipsters" these days. Im looking for a more seedy, dissident place (which I know brings lots of unwanted things too). Not hip people being with obsessed with their style and livestyle. I quess Im one of the few people who would prefer the old sunsit strip or times square to the new.
Okay, tell my where to go in Barcelona. El Ravel maybe?
