so im supposed to eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day as the basic minimum requirement? better for 8-10 i understand also, i also understand that a portion is about fist sized.
Does anyione do this?
Has anyone gone from a non veg unhealthy person to a veg and fruit happy person and did it improve your appearence/ skin ect?
i eat pretty much no veg.
and very limited fruit-mainly bananas.
i FEEL unhealthy and bad.

The advice over here is to eat 2 pieces of fruit and 200 grams of vegies a day.

becuase i have middle eastern in me, i tend to have a LOT of fruits and vegetables in my diet. i remmeber the other week i just ate fruits for an after-lunch snack. overall it keeps me healthy and my gains have been coming! i eat as many fruits and vegetables as i can!

OMG you guys just blew this thread to bits. :lol: SS I try to eat one fruit in the morning and one in the afternoon and mix up some cooked veg and a salad at night with the usual chicken or fish. Seems to work. Add some yoghurt and nuts every other day and fibre cereal every morning. Cake on the weekends. :lol: :lol: :twisted:

Ive heard you should eat/drink 5 servings of fruit/veg a day. Dont know how much a serving is. Maybe a glass of OJ, a bit of fruit, a cabbage etc :D

hmm,
its a nice basic ideal-the 5 a day thing. but really i dont think 5 bananas a day and nothing else in way of fruit or veg will do it.
avacado?
orange? (or something less acidic)
apple?
apples are supposed to have lke bicarbonate or something, and acid stabilising properties (good for holding onto muscle)
avacados, what do they have now? some healthy oils and b-vitamins i think.
any more suggestions?

My favourite fruits are Banana, apple, pears, avocado, pineapple, orange, nectarine, grapes, peaches.
Vegs Tomato, cabbage, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, beans, onions, garlic, peppers, carrots, olives, mushrooms, corn,gerkins.
I'm hungry so I'll eat my 2 apples and banana right now.
