TWO ETHICAL QUESTIONS

Q1: If you knew a woman who was pregnant, and she had 8 kids already,
three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she
had syphilis; would you recommend that she have an abortion? Read the
next question before scrolling down to the answer

Q2: It is time to elect the world leader, and your vote counts. Here are
the facts about the three leading candidates:

Candidate A: Associates with crooked politicians, and consults
with astrologists. He’s had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and
drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B: He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until
noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whisky every evening.

Candidate C: He is a decorated war hero. He’s a vegetarian,
doesn’t smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn’t had any extramarital
affairs. Which of these candidates would be your choice?

I didnt choose C because that person seemed dull to me. And I was right. :D

I killed beethoven and elected adolf but i think you have only selected information to make these points. If you displayed the whole story in each case, i may have made a different decision. Selecting information such as this is a classic tactic politicians use.

Ethics can only be applied when a given value is the measuring factor. There's not enough grounds in those questions to measure ethics.

Also, given the time spam between those people (let's say, Beethoven), you could just as well have killed a serial killer who could, just as well, be a genius. Like Beethoven himself.

i too chose Herr Hitler, but the thing is, he really was a more "moral" man than either of the others. many may describe him as a madman, but say what you will Hitler had more conviction than most spineless politicians. its this moral fiber thats in focus on in this question, and thats where the epected answer stems. whats more there was the SS, damn spiffy uniforms if you ask me, its a shame such a thing is forever stigmatised by a couple of crazyasses

Just like to say that as i was reading this i didnt look at the answer and i can swear down that i didnt, but being heavily into nazi germany i can also bow down and say that i wouldnt chose C) because thats hitler too the T!
