I'm sure not many of you watched the ESC (Eurovision Song Contest) because it's usually full of shit. Well, that it was this year too, the competitors sucked big time and some of them were weird as hell with all sorts of freaks and perverts jumping around, and the songs were utter bullshit as usual. I never watch the contest, with two exceptions: last year when Finland sent Lordi there who won the whole shit with highest score ever, and of course this year when it was Finlands turn to arrange the competition in Helsinki (home sweet home).

I was a bit worried because the show has over 100 million viewers in Europe, but I worried for nothing... "we" did a good show.

The opening video by Lordi is among the coolest music videos I've ever seen:

Some familiar places in Lapland... that's my home territory, my hiking ground. :cool

Well, the middle part show with Apocalyptica was also cool as hell:

We really pulled it off, but they could have left Mr. Santa Claus and Krisse Salminen (the blonde) out but all in all I think we have nothing to be ashamed of. Those opening ceremonies and middle part shows are usually some sort of folk dance bullshit, but not this year! Hell yeah, we pulled it off with style! :cool

I know that Krisse Salminen personally (the blonde), she's one talented stand-up comedian... but I don't think her image really opened to foreign viewers with that (not showing in those clips but she did the interviews in the "green room"). Well, she did good but it just didn't fit in that situation in my opinion. All in all, a good show it was, with the competitors not included of course.

The second sign of senility - watching the Eurovision and liking it

Luckiliy I have been in Ukraine since Friday and missed it ( and the Spanish GP, but small price to pay considering what I was doing :P )

I can't remember the first sign of senitility, but the second is enjoying the Eurovision, did I mention that?

None taken. As I said, I hate the ESC too, just watched those parts I posted... while the freaks and cross-dressers were howling their annoying songs, I was drinking beer and watching porn!

Lordi isn't among my top favorites either, but it was nice to shock the ESC crowd last year!
