Hey guys, brand new user here. I've been checking out the forums for about two weeks and I just decided to join up. I've found alot of your information to be helpful and it's great how you guys really motivate people. Anyways, I have a question about how erect I want to be for good jelqing. I've read 50-60% erect, but then I've also heard to do it at 80%...My question is this; with all of the talk of percentages and whatnot, I was just wondering about how floppy my penis should be when jelqing. I'd say mine is, going by percentage, roughly 50-60% when jelqing, but I see instructional videos of people jelqing with what appears to be a full erection. Thanks for your time guys.

Do NOT jelq at 100% when starting out or you will hurt yourself. The closer you are to full erection, the more pressure you are putting on your penis. Somewhere between 50-70% is good for wet jelqs. You just need enough blood in there to engorge the penis when you do the jelq.

Well, the level of erection should be flaccid enough so the shaft gives in under the ok-grip pressure. If you're too hard you're not pushing the blood in front of the grip but you're only sort of wanking. So, the correct level of erection is this: the shaft feels soft until you squeeze from the base with the ok-grip. When you squeeze, the diameter of the grip must be smaller than the girth of the shaft in front of the grip.
When you start moving the grip along the shaft, the blood packs in front adding the expanding pressure while a part of the blood flows through the grip as the hand moves. If you're too flaccid, the pressure builds up in the shaft only after the mid part of the shaft which will eventually lead to the so called "baseball bat shape" leaving the base thin compared to the middle part of the shaft.
So in other words, it's only a +/-10% area of erection that is best for the jelqs and it takes some time to learn how to achieve it. Personally I use kegels and porn to add more blood in if I get too flaccid... and I think of ugly bitches when I get too hard. :lol:

You explained it very well, thanks. I too have been implementing some porno in my routine to get the blood flowing again because I saw that you guys do that. I don't want to end up with that baseball bat shape, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing it correctly. My penis does hang, but it's mostly firm and I have to squeeze a bit with the "ok" sign. I feel a bit a sensation in the head of my penis so I suppose that's the pressure of the blood being forced forward.
Also, is 300 jelqs too many for the second week? I feel alright doing them and also afterwards.

300 is a lot of jelqs period, especially for 2 weeks.

Oh yes, I somehow missed that. 300 jelqs is way too much for second week. You should add the intensity gradually so that your penis can get adjusted to the strain. Better be safe than sorry.
