I dont really like how they use the word "phunk" everytime. Its a stupid kind of wordplay.

I think they're quite boring. They dont stir my imagination at all. They sound a bit contrived if you ask me.
Outkast, contrary, I quite like.

hmmm...difficult to explain clearly.

One example is how try to fill every moment with voices. The ooohhhss and aaahhss of the female singer and the yeahs of the male one.
Just like how those so called "divas" like Mariah Carey always have to state their presence in the beginning of a song with their oooohhhhhhsss.

i like BEP, they are unique. quite like outkast... no one like them.

They are very good, those two groups. Anyone into rnb or rap will appreciate them

Maybe I am not a huge BEP fan but as I remember she wasn't with them from the start. And she detracts from them at the moment as I see it. That's why outkast is better.

I've only heard the singles of BEP, but as far as I can see, Outkast are more songwriters and BEP more an entertainment act.

i think thats why they starting to blow up due to the white girl. i mean i dont remember her and they wasn't like super popular hiphop artists, then they performing at democratic convention?

BEP actually aren't all that mainstream. They've been connected with the independant/good rap scene for a while.

they aren't that main-stream. They have gotten a lot more commercial than they used to be. First time I heard one of their songs was in the late 90s. It was damn good but I can't remember the name. If you want good rap/funk that's "underground" got dialated peoples and jurrasic 5.
