Getting circumcised due to my phimosis

Hi all,

I posted back here a while ago saying I could not retract my foreskin.

Well I've seen a urologist now and I need a form of minimal circumcision done to enable retraction. If I don't I am very likely to eventually get an infection when I become sexually active and it'll probably tear and bleed too.:(

Just wanted to post this as I haven't arranged the procedure yet but feel weird about it all even though its medically necessary and for the best.

What you all think?

Look at the post below you for another snipper. Go as loose a circumcision as you can and just be ready for a fair amount of pain.

I dont see that you have much option, unless of you course you dont plan on becoming sexually active!! As hugh said you want to get as loose a circumcision as possible, even just a dorsal slit if its an option. Good luck with it man.

I did notice your thread, but my situation is slightly different.

Dorsal slit won't look too good imo, urologist thought so too.

He said the procedure still gives some appearance of an intact foreskin, forget what it's called now but 2/3rds should cover the glans flaccid. The foreskin is two layers of skin, he's removing one so its not really a 'circumcision' in the truest sense

Have you tried stretching the foreskin? (a little bit at a time)

Both Shane and I have overcome phymosis by gradually stretching the foreskin.

me too. when i was younger i could not pull it back over my head so it was painful to wash. i did the same just ease it back bit by bit, the foreskin should get used to it and strech over a certain amount of time. u will have to keep doing this but it will end up permanent. things are spot on now. hope everything works out!

Got back home from the hosp today.

Quite uncomfortable and still bleeding, I hope to be able to take the dressing off in a day or two when swelling subsides, although it isn't all that swollen.

Gotta love general anaesthetic, such a strange experience, 2nd time for me now

Can't wait to heal up and start PEing again

dressing came off during last nights 'movements' lol
Getting hard when asleep always wakes me up, even If I try to have a nap...

So now the glans is visible and drying out, veeerrry sensitive too, i've not walked much today hehe...
worst of the bleeding seems to be over, but sure as hell gonna finish the antibiotics course

wow I am uncircumsised and never had a problem but my head is small so...I guess a lot of man have big head or short skin

healing is going well, not sure what's meant to happen with regard to remaining foreskin though!

Seeing as I had a 'minimal circumcision' done I am not sure when the glans should start to be covered up again?
Or if it will be covered automatically or do I have to do anything?
