Buddy and Ignore list

What kind of purpose do these lists have? The only difference I see, is a "+" behind their names in the Who's Online secion.

I have discovered one function of the ignore list. I added Clockers to my ignore list and all his post are hidden for me from now on. Now I never have to face his bad spelling again. :lol:
