A song I wrote.

Barb in the Way (http://www.garageband.com/mp3/Hack_O__Coldshroom-Barb_In_The_Way.mp3?%7Cpe1%7CS8LTM0LdsaSlY1ixZ28)

(I think you can right click , and download the mo3 with 'Save link as'.. otherwise it will stream)

A made this some time ago.. it's not very good, but it's all me. Bass, guitar, drums, and vocals. I use Cakewalk to sequence, and and a cheezy soundblaster gold for the inputs.

It's kinda like your children.. They may be ugly as sin to others, but you'll always love them.. no?

From what I gather, there are some accomplished musicians here. Please don't take this too seriously.. it's a hack at best.. but it turned out pretty good for what I am record with. The file hosting site kinda mucked with the bitrate a bit.. there's more distortion then the original.

Give it a spin.. Let me know what you think.

Hahaha...thats a classic!

Its a fun song to listen to but it does get tiring after a while. It lacks structure.

Do have any serious work?

Hmm.. not really. Most of my 'music' is rather unstructured. That tune was one of five I put together for a little CD I made for a cheap christmas gift for friends and familiy. None of them get much better than that..

I made one in Japanese for my mother-in-law.. it's pretty funny.. but nothing serious.

I'm not a very serious musician.

My piano playing is pretty crazy. Although I like to think I'm not half bad, I have a hard time repeating anything twice (and having it sound the same). Very improv. My piano (and keys in general) usually comes out sad and depressing.. minor..

I'm pretty crappy at instruments too but once in a while I come up with something original and interesting. I tend to be the most creative on instruments which I dont know how to play properly. (compared to good musicians).

I consider myself more a songwriter then a musician.

I'll take one of those over a musician anyday. :D

If you find the time, post some stuff up. You've piqued my interest.

I dont have any recorder stuff from myself (I know I'm a rare breed) apart from some sketchy ideas because, like you, I've trouble recreating something for a second time.

But just comfort yourself with the thought that I'm a musical genius.:mrgreen
