Okay I have tried since I joined to not ask any stupid newb like questions but I feel that this is going to full into that category so I put in the beginners section. From what I have read red spots are a sign of working your penis to a point of its limit or beyond that limit. So my question is would it be detrimental to my penis if I were to attempt to try to use tighter grip/higher number of reps to push my penis to this state where i get red dots(which I have never got before) to see how hard I can work it because I was to see if I should be upping my grip intensity more than it already is.

Red spots happens to the skin. you want o work you're erectile tissue.
IMO red spots is no biggy. the suggestion that "the damage would be equal inside" is not confirmed by any means. it's a simple guess.
most people believe it. i don't. it's up to you to have your own opinion.
to support my idea - if i don't warm up, i get them when i do my very first wet jelq, even if i've having eretion for a half an hour or so before, and been kegeling and pulling and whatever, to the point where there's absolutly no question that the erectile tissue is warmed up..
if i warm up with hot water for just a minute or so, i don't get them untill a quarter or so of wet jelqing.

i could do 100`s of jelqs and not get a single red spot, or i could do 10 jelqs and get lots.
imo red spots are more to do wit technique and lube and youre cocks proneness to getting them.

I think it is a good sign to get mild red spots. It is a sign that the penis is being "borken down". SS, how long did each of your jelqs take? and how hard was the OK grip?

as writen before - it's a sign that the skin is getting "broken down". says nothing about the erectile tissue.
however- i actually think this whole idea that PE is about breaking down/building up is false. It's all about streching the tunica. then more blood goes in.

Its about a lot of things. Simplifying it won't help you it will just lead to disappointment.
There are some muscles in the penis, there is some erectile tissue and blood chambers, and there are some ligaments as well as otherthings such as veins and the urethra. One should consider all these to gauge out what exercises do what, and to avoid injury.
Since red spots are a vissible sign, that something is happening, during your actual execise they are the best indicator we can rely on to tell us if we are overdoing something or underexercising. Or you can ognore them and wait to feel pain in the ligaments (not recommended)

in my experiance red spots comes from jelqing much too hard when you start out a workout.
in order to minimize this, you can do LIGHT jelqing to start. then every 25 jelqs increase your grip strength bit by bit, it really helps.
warm up jelqs are very helpful i think.

Thanks,
i've noticed that a warm up on it's own it usually not going to cut it. you need to start slow and gentle early in the workout...
i ONLY EVER get "injured" in the first 10-15 jelqs if i am too rough. that's fact.
take that for what it's worth.

I totally agree OMR. I also do warmup jelqs.

Just wanted to add:
There are different levels of red spots. There are those that pop up during the exercises and subside immediately after and then there are those ones that stay for a few days. The former are slightly bumpy and less colored. I use the former as an indicator that I am doing things right. I only get the former and that's thanks to a good warmup.

the more often you jelq, the less red spots, i've discovered. also they go away much quicker. i can get spots of 5mm and their gone the day after.
doesn't really support the theory of them beeing an indication of the health of the penis.

you think thats huge? i once..actually twice got ones that were about 1-1.5 cms in diameter, no bullsh*t. that was when i was really eager to gain, now im just cruising along.

You can use red spots as part of an adaptive training routine. When you get them, lighten up. Or intensify things until you start seeing red spots.

I don't think that's a red spot then. It's more like a bruise or a ruptured artery or something. Theruptured capillaries that create the red spots don't have rthat much blood in them, me thinks.

Superb post. Newbies should take note. The chambers inside the penis get more flexible as you do a workout, so if you go too quick/intense to begin you'll over expand and do damage.
I've been taking the first 5-10mins of my jelqing easy for a while, you'll get excellent quality in the 2nd half of your workout!
