Anyone into UFC?
April 15th has Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin.
Should be wild.
The new UFC 'reality show' starts this Thursday as well.. always good fun, as well as Luke Kumo vs Jason Von Flue (2 dudes from the last series). Reckon Luke will pummel Jason.
As for Tito vs Forrest.. tough call. I'm gunning for Forrest, but I think Tito will take it.

Damn straight.. that will be real interesting.
Can't help but to think Matt's going to pummel the old bastard...
Having said that, I won't be overly suprised to see that old bastard wrap Matt up like a present.
My money's on Matt.. my heart's with Royce.

I like Ortiz for this fight, only tomorrow now..
I only got a couple UFC DVD`s 46 &47, 47 was a big surprise- I couldn`t believe Ortiz didn`t try to take him to teh ground, why fight him standing? Was he trying to prove something then?
I still prefer him as one of my favourites though, and since I`m loyal..

I've always had loads of respect for Tito.. but always thought he was an asshole.. The latest season of The Ultimate Fighter is showing him to be a pretty cool guy.. and a good coach.
Forrest is a tough mofo, but he lets himself get hit too much. It's a good thing Tito's not known for strikes (although he's a strong bastard).
I dunno now.. I was hoping for Forrest to win.. now I'm torn.
Regardless of who I'm gunning for, I still say it will more than likely be Tito.
And I reckon Arlovski is going to pummel Syliva again.

I talked to Royce a week ago. Hes training his ass off, he thinks he can get him in a triangle choke.
EDIT: Oh btw Ortiz is gonna knock the fucking snot out of Forrest.

I think Forest is a tough guy but he fights like a fukin monkey, hes so wild i dnno how someone hasnt put him down yet, he needs to fite a good counter puncher cough lidelllll, but i think ortiz is gonna take it.
My heart is with jiu jitsu but im sorry i just dont see it happening XL, its a different generation of times Hughes is a machine i dont see Royce pulling off any submissions on Matt. I see matt working his stand up cuz hell be confident against royce and shotting in take down which royce will let him and pull guard once in guard no way hughes will allow any submissions i see just G & P on Royce and stoppage from elbows or some sort or a KO of osme sort like royler / Genki , thats my prediction.

Arlovski lost and from what I hear he showed suspect chin and heart. Haven't seen the fight but that caught my interest just for the shock value alone.

He won, but if it was to go to 5 rounds, I reckon he would have lost.
Apparently, Ortiz has a bum knee but fought with it taped.... mashed it royally during the fight.
1st round, Tito dominates.. ground and pound. Bloodied up Forest gets nasty back in the 2nd.. Tito looks tired.. not throwing anything. Forrest is swinging hailbailers.. kinda funny really.
Forrest won the second round in my opinion.
Otiz looks tanked.. and injured.. and won it. I would have loved to see it go 5.

I thought he was going to pummel Sylvia again.. very suprising.
Big guys man.. throwin' bombs. KOs like that just come out of no where.
Before the fight they had a big publicity show on Arlovski.. and day in the life of..
Shows him getting tailor fit suits, custom jewelery.. trading in the Mercedes SUV (winter car) for his summer car, a new Mercedes car.. I think it was Mercedes.. damn fine car whatever it was.
Shows his team of highly paid professional shills, pimping the Arlovski product.
Then boom.. he get's KOed.
Ha.. a lil dose of humility.

Any news on sakuraba and how he's doing in the UFC?

Much as I hate to get into this debate, I can't see him being able to hang with the top heavyweights in Pride with a chin like that, especially with him being primarily a striker. I like the guy and I'd like to see him come back from this stronger than ever and hopefully KO Sylvia in the rematch, but he'll have to work harder than ever as he'll have lost some of his aura of fear and I imagine opponents won't be so afraid to take the fight to him from now on.

I think he can hang with the heavy weights.. he already has.
But you're right, he's human again.
As I said.. heavy weight fights are like this, for the most part.. big bombs.. One lands and you go down.
Arlovski just got anxious, saw that he knocked Syliva down, and wanted to pummel him some more. He was going in to Tim low, a few times.. going for the body. I could see why, as the fucker's 6'8", and seemed to have a pretty high guard.. his body was open alot. But Tim's reach kept him away enough..
Andre trys to go back to the body, and meets Tim's rather lightly thrown uppercut to the jaw.. bing.. nighty night.

I just read somewhere that Tito is bowing out of his next scheduled re-match with Ken Shamrock, due to injury.
Too bad..
I also hear that Griffin could end up replacing him. Griffin vs Shamrock could be interesting.
