There are quite a few posts reguarding this but I'll see if I can help.

First off they are different in that there is no lubrication required in dry jelqs hence the "dry".
Second, you aren't sliding your hand across the top layer of skin as you do in wet jelqs, if you do you are sure to get some serious irritation due to the excess friction. Rather you use the skin to get you from point A to point B.

Think of it like this: Its a lot like jerking off in that you hand stays stationary in relation to the skin on your shaft. Now take that same motion only with an OK grip and squeeze tighter so that blood cant escape and you'll be doing a dry jelq. Sorry if your still confused, its kinda hard to explain in words. If you are still confused, sit tight and I am sure one of the vets will be around.

all i would add is that because this exercise is more intense you should do it in two stages, from base to mid-shaft, then mid shaft to head.

I think what Netgear is actually just a matter of opinion, although I would recommend that you certainly try what he said so that you can find out what works for you

Are you cut or uncut?

1bigdong, does that make a difference and if so how?

I think the idea is that if you are uncut there is more skin to work with and no need to do it in two stages. When I did dry jelqs I always tended to do it in stages

Interesting, I'm cut and have a lot of skin to work with.

Yep, Wendell has it right! If you are cut you may not be able to do drys the same way as a person that is uncut. As many of you know I was cut but like oldwhiteguy I still had more skin then most to work with. As I did my PE I found that i got more skin. I started finding different ways to do both wet and drys. As we all know each of us is different and so even though the movment is the same we all must find what is best for us.

Yer Zeolite, i do mine all in one 4 second motion, and always have, but i didnt want to suggest this to someone new and have 'em exploding their cock from the intensity.

I would do these because im looking for girth more than length but i find them difficult to do becasue i cant grip it well and such. Also from my understanding if i do wet jelqs at the same intensity and same erection % as dry jelqs the outcome has to be the same correct?
