Hello guys, I've been a member for a while but I lost my account with the site transition or whatever it was. Anyway, I've been away for a while and have been experimenting with different kegel routines, and wonder if anyone can contribute to my findings. I've found that doing only long holds is not good for the pc muscle, as after a week or so of this ive noted that the muscle feels week compared to how it did before. What sort of kegeling routines do you guys find work the best, and is it strict or do you just do them often throughout the day? thanks very much -steve

Long holds aren't good if your muscle can't handle them and if they are done solo. That applies to all muscle exercises. I personally use a "super" long hold and my PS muscle is so strong that I could probably make my dick rupture a blood vessel just by contracting it tight enough. Needless to say you can imagine how hard my erections are.

From Old forums (http://www.cheekycherry.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10855)I think a good exercise for people who have been kegelling for at least 2 months is incorporating, into everyday activities, a long hold.

LONG HOLD
What I do is contract my PC moderately and then after 5 seconds increase the contraction to almost max strength. After a further 5 seconds I increase to MAX strength and hold. As I do this I focus on taking slow deep breaths. It calms me down if I am driving or walking somewhere and keeps me focused at the same time. The only things I focus on are
1. keeping the contraction as tight as possible; and
2. the slow deep breathing

If I find that I am losing the contraction grip, that's fine. I just grip casually until I feel that I can increase the contraction grip again. The aim is not to stop the grip at all. I usually do these for at least 1 min at a time. There's no time limit though. You can hold for as long as you feel you want, assuming you know your limits. If you don't, don't hold for more than 2-3mins as you may get cramps later on (although I have never got cramps from these exercises). I must stress that THIS IS AN ADVANCED EXCERISE.

It is a super workout for your PC muscle, allowing you to keep your PC contracted tighter and more importantly for LONGER amounts of time. After a month of doing this exercise, your ejaculation control, erection strength, and orgasms will be other-worldly.

I think this is one of the best kegels exercises around as
1. you don't have to take timeout to do it. Even one 3 minute exercise per day is good. Do it on your way to work, or while waiting in line for something.
2. It is extremely effective.
3. It teaches you how to focus better which is very important for a healthy (and less stressed) mind.
4. By breathing deeply it encourages you to form deep breathing habits which oxygenate the body more which is VERY IMPORTANT for health and longevity.
