Has anyone ever developed a urinary tract infection from doing these exercises?

I have recentley started (2 weeks) and now feel the urge to urinate almost constantly and I am thinking that it must be something associated with these execises.

Thanks for any insight.

The conclusion from the information below is that if you keep your genitals clean you won't get UTI. So wash up before you PE and after you PE.

From urologychannel.com (http://www.urologychannel.com/)

UTI:

Causes and Risk Factors

Escherichia coli (E. coli) causes about 80% of UTIs in adults. These bacteria are normally present in the colon and may enter the urethral opening from the skin around the anus and genitals. Women may be more susceptible to UTI because their urethral opening is near the source of bacteria (e.g., anus, vagina) and their urethra is shorter, providing bacteria easier access to the bladder. Other bacteria that cause urinary tract infections include Staphylococcus saprophyticus (5 to 15% of cases), Chlamydia trachomatis, and Mycoplasma hominis. Men and women infected with chlamydia trachomatis or mycoplasma hominis can transmit the bacteria to their partner during sexual intercourse, causing UTI.

Sexual intercourse triggers UTI in some women, for unknown reasons. Women who use a diaphragm develop infections more often, and condoms with spermicidal foam may cause the growth of E. coli in the vagina, which may enter the urethra.

Urinary catheterization (i.e., insertion of a small tube into the bladder through the urethra to drain urine) can also cause UTI by introducing bacteria into the urinary tract. The risk for developing a UTI increases when long-term catheterization is required.

In infants, bacteria from soiled diapers can enter the urethra and cause UTI. E. coli may also enter the urethral opening when young girls do not wipe from front to back after a bowel movement.

Other risk factors include the following:

Bladder outlet obstructions (e.g., <A href="javascript:GoTo('http://www.urologychannel.com/kidneystones/')">kidney stones, BPH (javascript:GoTo('http://www.urologychannel.com/prostate/bph/')))
Conditions that cause incomplete bladder emptying (e.g., spinal cord injury)
Congenital (present at birth) abnormalities of the urinary tract (e.g., vasicoureteral reflux (javascript:GoTo('http://www.urologychannel.com/pediatric/vur.shtml')))
Suppressed immune system
Being uncircumcised
Certain blood types enable bacteria to attach more easily to cells that line the urinary tract, causing recurrent UTIs.

This is just theory, But if you're doing a lot of kegels you can get a bit more sensitive in that internal area.

Plus, if your are working yourself really hard, you ar stretching the urethra out and that will give you sensations while healing that may make you feel like you need to urinate.

Also, If you are getting aroused during the workouts and NOT ejaculating afterwards, it can cause you to feel sensitive around the prostate and therefore, make you feel like you need to pee.

Anyone more advanced PE'ers agree with this?

Ive never got this feeling during or after PE but i have a couple of times after sex. It relates to what Jocko said about kegeling. The times ive experienced it after sex were intense fucking sessions where i had to kegel HARD to hold back cumming. I think because i was doing this alot, it tired it out, and therefore, gave me the feeling of needing to pee as the PC muscle (the one you kegel with) is the same one you use to stop urinating when you're having a piss. Hope i helped.

Hey just so you know. I didn't really read all the post because i am super lazy :cool But UTIs can be caused by masturbating when using soap and getting it around the tip in the shower. I know because my friend told me it happened to him. He said doctor was cool about it and guess what his problem was right away while keeping it away from his parents. Wait 3-6 days and it went away.
It has also happened to me before cause the shower is good anot messy. Took 2 days to go away. Just be carefull.

It actually is pretty good. Not tons of friction or anything but it isn't as easy going as lotion. Feels kind of good.

How could soap cause an infection? Soap kills germs. If you were inserting something in your dick, forcing soap in there too, maybe the soap could irritate things. But I think it would be a bit dangerous to insert something in your penis

It is not like you put it in there. Just when you are wanking if it gets around the hole it can find its way in there. I think maybe a little semen might go back in or something. It is nothing serious, just burns like a motha when you pee. Around the hole will be real red too.
