Yeah, chat about anything.
I hear that Allied force on the pc is pretty good?

Any of y`all drive around the same car for a while in gtas? like San Andeas? Usually mine get trashed so fast that I`m always grabbing a new one but occassionally I wander over states in the same car- best if it`s a big or slow thing since if it`s fast I`m inclined to drive too fast and crash.
I got cheats but rarely do and never on missions- I feel like the cheats just make it almost pointless.

I`m still stuck on Liuetant junior grade level 11 on SOCOM US NAVY SEALS. It`s where you eliminate fat cat and kitten, but theres like 50-100 armed guards in and around the 2 seprate buildings which the targts are in. My team is 4 including me.. a little unfair. Even for Delta boys in real life. I think.
Especially with socom (since its the hardest military game I`ve played) I sometimes die overa nd over and don`t care but sometimes I take it REALLY seriously and whenever I or my squad is danger my heart is pounding and my mind is running 100 mph, and if I get hit I find myself crying out or making lil quick dying noises as if I had been. Not intentional, I guess I just get into it.

No point in using cheats in GTA, it's way too easy anyway. It would be a great game if it was a bit more difficult, but the way it now is it's "only" good.

Yeah, somehow its never quite satisfying- I played bits overa nd overa nd over (onall GTAS`) until I KNEW i was addicted even though it was boring. Hard to explain.
Nothing was really FINAL.
I fell off a building 3 storeys and was not dead, I can push the trains around once they`re deraild ect- it does need more truth to reality. That`d actually make it better.
I guess what stands out is its one of the few games that you can do the stuff you can do in it. Needs more3 competition, I`m not familiar with pc games thoygh, although some sound pretty cool.

Well Im mainly playing Counterstrike source at the moment. I also play Guildwars but nowhere near as much as Counterstrike.

What are those games about and like?
they PC?

Bobo

I've played the GTA series only on PC. Can't beat the keyboard/mouse combo on steering, I'm like Neo on the Matrix... nothing can beat me. I would never be able to play that well with some gamepad.

Counterstrike source is an Online First person shooter. Terrorists vs Counterterrorists. Some maps require the terrorists to plant a bomb at one of two bomb sites while the cts have to stop them (if bomb is planted the cts have to diffuse before it blows). On other maps the cts must rescure hostages and bring them back to the safe zone. It is quite fun but I am starting to grow a bit tired of it.

Guild wars is an online rpg. You can party with other users online and tackle quests and such.

I prefer playing GTA on the PS2 personally, when I tried to play it on PC i sucked so bad.

I personally feel I`d also suck without a gamepad- I am lame with keyboard and mouse controls.
Interesting games Goliath, you played Allied force?

KEEN?
What`s that?

(anyone else find that Cc is slow today- each time I refresh/ change a page it takes LONG. Is it my pc or what?)

Bobo

Wow, that's like looking to the future, Valk!

I've been playing on and off since C-64 was the shit, so I've seen everything starting from Pac Man, Pole Position and stuff like those. It's a shame I sold my old C-64 and 128, would be nice to try some of the old classics again... only I had the games on tape and I'm sure the data would have been destroyed already during these past 20-25 years.

I've never played those ultra smooth, high quality games everyone talks about these days, but I've always felt that, the more realistic the game was (with motion captures moves and shit) the less control I had over the game.
Like I didnt control my action here at all.

You can download emulators and old games and run them on your PC.

Bobo
28th December 2005, 09:01 PM
Oh yes... I've heard of that possibility. I must do some research on the subject... I had (literally) over a thousand games to the C-64, propably close to 1200 if I remember correctly, so I can honestly say I've seen them all. My nerdy phase lasted all the way from C-64 to the golden age of Amiga 500, to which I had about 300 games. Then I sold the nerd machine, started drinking boose and chasing girls, and my circle of friends changed from ten nerds to a hundred airheads! Funny times those were. :cool

Valk
28th December 2005, 09:17 PM
So at what age did that nerdy fase end?

Bobo
28th December 2005, 09:34 PM
At approximately 16-17 years old. The nerdy phase lasted from 10 to 17.

Valk
28th December 2005, 09:39 PM
And the drewling fase from 0-9?

MagnumXL
28th December 2005, 10:01 PM
I like pie. I also like the Hitman series games.

Bobo

And the drewling fase from 0-9?
You mean drooling? Yes, droolage from 0-9 and it is also an active condition at the girl chasing phase from 16 to eternity. :mrgreen

soserious

I never played the hitman series, I heard they were good and seemed to be one of gta`s rivals at the time.

Actually GTA (San Andreas I presume) is way to easy at first but there are tons of missions and stuff that you'll need to keep replaying. For example, I'm at a point where I have to do this dance dance revolution scenerio at the beach and with a low rider and can't seem to get enough points to continue. It just bothers me because I want to continue on with all the fun missions and not this crap.

soserious
29th December 2005, 10:32 AM
thats near the beggining..
you got LOADS to see and do yet.
Most frustrating thing about that was I did it a few times but got killed trying to escape. You should get the hang of it pretty soon- theres clubs later that you can just go dance at.

TheGreatDivider
29th December 2005, 10:36 AM
I found a couple of those clubs but those missions just piss me off. I'm stuck right now and never got more than 3800 pints out of the 4000 needed.

soserious
29th December 2005, 10:41 AM
Thats pretty damn close!
Whats the problem? The sequences? cos sometimes they can put me off and I press the wrong buttons. But thats REAL close.

TheGreatDivider
29th December 2005, 10:43 AM
I just have to get in the right set of mind and put my glasses on. Besides that I have found some cool things no one else has.

soserious
29th December 2005, 10:45 AM
just do a lil dance to it, bop to the beat and it helps keep the rhythm for the most part.
So, you found some stuff hey? Any you`re gonna say??

TheGreatDivider
29th December 2005, 10:55 AM
I know if you can hit someone, stop and backup before you hit a wall. then you'll have a creepy montage to the passion of the crist. You can't blow up a cop car with a shot to the gas tank because the isn't one. Sometimes you'll see the balas smokin crack. You can get a lap dance at the pig pen. Stealing an ambulance will heal you a little. Put in the jetpack code while on a motorcycle and press foward for nos. C4 will stick to cars and people but not planes, usefull for making grove street suicide bombers. Steal an armored car for a bulletproof but slow ride. And it takes a lot of rockets to blow up a tank. That's all I can think of for now.I just listed all that you can't find on the net.

soserious
29th December 2005, 11:00 AM
Some I know some I don`t, whats the montage thing?? what was that? stop before you hit smeone? then reverse to a wall?

TheGreatDivider
29th December 2005, 11:07 AM
Theres a wall you'll see if you take a right then a left from the hospital. I once spead up and hit a hooker, then quickly backed up. It left a dead hanging coarpse with both arms to each side. A montage is a repectful reproduction like elvis is in hollywood. Oh, go to the building with the parachute. Get it and but in the code for the big foot. If you hit one of the near by building you'll get 5 quick flips. I have found a few cool things but I don't rember most of them.Like how come there are no parked cop cars at the donut shop.

soserious
29th December 2005, 11:11 AM
I found a few things, hell I own 98.3% of the turf, but I usually focus on missions before exploring much- I dunno what building has a parachute lol, I know the mountains do N.W of Grove street. FAR. But no buildings. Hmm. Lemme try that..
Oh btw the cops cars do have tank caps things, just its black on black and REAL hard to see. I blown a few up with single shots.

TheGreatDivider
29th December 2005, 11:12 AM
It's the one so tall that it dissapears into the clouds.Tell me what you found.

soserious
29th December 2005, 11:47 AM
The jefferson hospital? I did a right then left but dont see any special wall? your talking Los santos yeah?
I forgot most of what I found, just like crop duster on a hill East of Los Santos in another place, playing pool in some different clubs, stuff like that.
The more you do the more opions you have. Only did 1 mission on the trains though.
So what directions for the wall?
I was looking I`m at los santos hospital now ( I think theres 1 , might be 2? )
