We've tried to keep it as much like the old forum as possible - it wouldn't be CC if it wasn't red/yellow/black. :D

We even copied the old smilies across.

It turned out to be impossible to move all the users and threads though.

But we will move your post count, custom sayings and avatar privleges.

So first register with your oldCC username - anybody caught stealing someone elses identity will be banned and deleted. Forever. :cool


Once OldCC is closed for posting or now if you can't wait, post a link below to your profile - just click on your name at OldCC

Here's Clocker's for example.

And sooner or later an Admin will see it and update your new profile.
(The cost of this service is 1 post count - your request will be deleted afterwards).

Some new changes:
The Custom Saying Rule will still apply - at 500 posts you can choose the nonense that appears under your name. Only now it will be automatic - at 500 posts you will be promoted from Registered to RegisteredWithSaying and a custom title box will appear in your profile - you have 25 characters to say your piece.

At 1000 posts the same will happen - you'll be promoted to RegisteredWithAva so the avatar option will appear in your profile. Unlike OldCC you don't need to host your own ava - it'll be uploaded to the CC server. The size is 100x100 pixels max and less than 10k in size. You can upload from your own PC.

Both the above auto promotion happen when the forum software does it's scheduled maintainance which could be up to 1 hour - so don't moan if it doesn't happen instantly.

Also we have Thread Ratings to play with and User Reputation points.

As this forum is a bit empty and OldCC has some good stuff, anyone copying a useful post from OldCC to the NewCC will get 10 reputation points added to their score.

Red = someone neg'd you
Green = positive.
Blue = 0

This is where it gets complicated.
Newbies get 10 RP's on signing
You need a minimum of 50 posts and 10 RP's to +/- someone's Rep (Zero otherwise, hence the blue)

Your RP hitting power goes up by 1 for every 5000 posts, year & 1000 RP's you have.

You can only hit 10 people a day
You have to hit 20 more people before clobbering the same person again.

Only peep's with Sayings/Avatars can leave neg points.

Getting Neg'd by an Admin is gonna hurt. :lol:

Over that and you'll give 1 RP
If you've been at CC over a year that'll be 2 RP's
If you've got over 5000 posts then it''ll go to 3 RP's

So Oldie who as 10K+ and here for over 2 years should be able to give +/- 5 points everytime.

The yellow on the OldCC is a bit eye-ripping when I go back now.
