I understand this too; Socrates once said that he was not a wise person at all, he then went on around speaking to people who were supposedly wise in certain areas of knowledge. After speaking/debating to/with them, he concluded that these supposedly wise people wernt wise at all and that although he himself wasnt a wise person, he was certainly more wise than these people.
