Any of you fellas take the stuff? Results? Brand? Overall well being? Price?

Used to take it. Don't remember the brand. Results were increased strength and size. I know you don't need to but I always took it with grape juice anyway. Worked well for me, but creatine is kind of like PE. It works beautifully for some people, and others never get anywhere with it.

Did you forget to mention you had to get down the gym and heave some big weights around too?

I love creatine it is a definite use if you are wanting to get big quickly. Make sure to hydate yourself plenty or else you will get cramps like a mother fucker. (also see: liver damage, fatigue)
Your best bet is to cycle creatine for the biggest strength + mass gains.

I don't want to deviate from the topic but I've just been wondering... Last year I was on a heavy dosage of supplements (including creatine and stuff) the biggest dosage was L-arginine and L-ornithine. My point is, when I was taking all those supplements girls would come to me more often. Would that be in any way related to some effect from those supplements? Body smell or something like? Just curious... then again, it could as well be just coincidence.

Yes, they could detect your increased fertility and that made them subconsiciously drawn to you... Probably was a coincidence...

You're definitely right about fertility, that's a female instinct.

It also effects your testosterone levels. You may have been acting like more of an aggressive alpha male (which chicks totally dig) by using all of those supplements. I remember back when I lifted religiously that my testosterone levels were through the roof and I acted more dominent. Chicks even on a conscience level can see that and respond.

I used to take the stuff. It worked quite nicely, the powder stuff, as creatine monophosphate. I am now on the monohydrate variety, which hasn't been yielding equivalent results.

Im gona start my second cycle of creatine mono soon. Just joined my uni gym, £99 for the year and thats it, quite good. Anyway, i feel it worked to some extent but not amazingly well. After i finish this cycle though, im buying CEE, definitely buy CEE. It doesnt need to be cycled, theres no loading phase, you dont get any of the water retention like with mono AND, it gives better results. Its a bit more expensive but by reading up on forums and reviews of the stuff it is definitely worth it. Go here to find out more...

from Shane's link:
Supplement Conflicts
-DO NOT take with caffeine. Caffeine completely negates the effects of creatine.
Well, I'm out. :(

They discussed the caffeine issue later on in that thread and i think they concluded that it didnt matter. I dont know, you'll have to browse it yourself, but i know the subject definitely comes up.

It's a long thread they have there, but I was too lazy to read the whole thing. I'd rather read the long threads here.

Shane's post linked to a discussion on a bodybuilding forum, with lots of ugly avas. I didn't feel like reading their whole thread, but they addressed the topic of caffeine interacting with creatine

The second page has loads of posts where people say CEE worked even though they drink caffeine all the time.
Heres a good post...
Creatine and caffeine go about their business along different lines according to musclesntx, so consuming the two together shouldn't be a problem. Typing in "creatine and caffeine together" in google brings back many studies. Half saying it's ok, and the other half saying it's not. If you're seeing results, keep on doing what you're doing. I'm on V12 now, drinking 2 - 3 cups of coffee a day, and not having any problems.

Just wanted to bump this thread. Ive started to take Creatine Monohydrate again. Would take CEE but its expensive and monohydrate is easily available in shops.
I was thinking though. Some people say that creatine hasnt worked for them but i came to the conclusion that it is nearly impossible to measure its effects. I know some one that grew big, very quickly. So quickly he gained stretch marks in places and he only took whey protein as a supplement. If he had taken creatine, how would he have known if it had had an affect on his growth?
If you take creatine and dont grow, it is not because creatine doesnt work for you, it is because you arent lifting correctly, arent eating correctly, arent resting enough etc.
The fact is, you will gain strength and size if you follow a good workout and eat and rest correctly. Creatine is a SUPPLEMENT, and may aid your growth, but if it doesnt have an affect on you at all, you will still grow if you are doing the basics right.

I think people that take supplements in order to get muscle are ultimately doomed. Think about it: You are taking a supplement to get big. Eventually you will stop taking the supplement. That means that you are looking at muscle building as a process - ie supplement weightlifting until you reach your goal size. Once the process is completed people think they will continue with maintenance.
But the problem with that approach is that muscle gain can be a long journey.
Also, if you stop working out, you will lose the muscle. So when people go and push their bodies at a gym for 3 hours a week, thinking that evetually they will only have to do 30mins maintenace, there is a good chance that people will get frustrated that they haven't reached their goals.
A person might think "If only I was at my goal build, I could be watching TV or seeing my girlfeidn right now. And how much longer am I going to have to be doing these 3 hours per week for? I am not seeing results fast enough. I might be here for a year!"
And they start getting resentful towards going to the gym because of these "missed opportunities", and the fact that their expectations - of how built they should be by now - aren't being met.
And if people are taking supplements then their expectations are even more elevated to start off with.
I think in the long run it makes sense to think of working out as a life long thing with the main benefit of improving your general health.
Whey protein and other supplements are good to take for faster muscle recovery and lower chances of injury, but I think any supplement taken to get results faster is a bad idea from a psycological perspective.
